Middelfart has a new museum. MIND starts the conversation about mental illness.

Middelfart asylum was for over a hundred years located at the historical buildings in Teglgårdsparken. Today MIND museum has opened in one of the old buildings and is the first state-recognized museum in Denmark about mental illness.

In the middle of Denmark, in the middle of you and me

Melfar - the middle crossing - as it was once called when you crosses the strait by ship. The name reminds us that Middelfart has always been a hub: in the center of Denmark, in the middel of the current and in between Funen and Jutland.
