CLAY Sculpture Park

The museum is encircled by a sculpture park that’s truly worth a visit in its own right.

The park, nestled between the Little Belt and Kongebro Forest, serves as an outdoor exhibition space that beautifully blends with its natural surroundings. As you wander among the modern ceramic artworks, you’re literally walking above the museum’s galleries, which are hidden underground. Currently, the park showcases 17 sculptures by acclaimed artists from Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, and the USA.

These works form part of the "Ceramic Route" – a 2.3-kilometre path linking CLAY with Middelfart’s town centre. The route guides you along the scenic waterfront, pedestrian street, and charming old town, where you’ll encounter various ceramic sculptures. Each piece has a QR code, allowing you to access lively descriptions in Danish and English.

You can explore or revisit the artworks along the route at www.keramikruten.claymuseum.dk.
